Sullivan County Courthouse Elevator Upgrade- Request for Proposals

The Sullivan County Courthouse Elevator Upgrade project will rehabilitate the existing elevator located at 245 Muncy Street, Laporte, in Sullivan County, PA. Sullivan County must completely upgrade the elevator in the Courthouse with more modern technology to maintain compliance and safety standards. The existing elevator will remain in place with an upgrade to its mechanical parts and equipment. There will be no change in the size or location of the elevator.

An elevator consultant is needed to submit a proposal for all site plans and specifications, oversight, scope of work, cost estimate, schedule of work, and to create, solicit, and evaluate bid documents. The consultant will be responsible for project management including compliance with funding requirements and ensuring that the work is completed in accordance with the project specifications. The project is being funded by the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG funding).

The building currently has an Oildraulic Passenger Elevator, designed for installation in 1992, with parts that have reached the end of their life cycle. The elevator has a capacity of 3,500 pounds. Many replacement parts are no longer available for this model, and it is due an upgrade. The elevator needs a new tank and pump unit, a controller, a door operator and buttons, and new wiring.

SEDA-COG will accept proposals for elevator consultant services until January 20, 2023.

Sealed proposals must be submitted, by 4:00 PM on January 20, 2023, to:
