PHILADELPHIA- The Enterprise Center, in partnership Dell Technologies, Dell for Startups, URBN, Troutman Pepper, and Morgan Lewis, today announced the launch of the Visionary Pitch Competition, a nationwide search aimed at reshaping the narrative around diversity and inclusion in entrepreneurship. With a grand prize of $250,000 cash and a comprehensive array of business services provided within a top-tier incubator, this competition represents an unrivaled chance for successful Black and brown business owners to take their entrepreneurial dreams to the next level.

"Entrepreneurship is the heartbeat of our nation, and yet, not all voices are heard equally," said Della Clark, President and CEO of The Enterprise Center. "We are tired of telling successful business owners they need more training when what they really need is more investment capital. The Visionary Pitch Competition will do just that - offer a large cash infusion and give underrepresented minorities a chance to shine."

The Visionary Pitch Competition is open to all minority (51% Minority-owned) for-profit businesses in the United States with at least 1 year of operations, regardless of industry or background. Submissions are welcomed from October 3, 2023 to December 31, 2023, with the final live pitch event scheduled for May 2, 2024 in Philadelphia.

In addition to the $250,000 grand prize, the winner will receive:

  • Business Incubation: Office space, mentorship, and resources to accelerate business growth.
  • Financial Forecasting: Develop a robust financial plan, ensuring a solid foundation for success.
  • Business Valuation: Professional business valuation services to understand their company's true value.
  • Pitch Deck Preparation: Professional assistance in crafting a compelling pitch deck for potential investors.
  • Presentation Coaching: Professional coaching to refine presentation skills
