Boost Black & Brown Businesses

This season, it’s time to give back to the businesses that sustain families and communities throughout the year. The Enterprise Center’s Boost Black & Brown Businesses campaign aims to raise $25,000 in support of Black and brown businesses that have lost crucial holiday sales to COVID-19. The end of the pandemic is in sight, but our small businesses need a boost to make it through the winter and on to recovery.

Black and brown businesses are closing at double the rate of white businesses.

Help be the difference between closure and recovery for a small business!

With your support, we will provide:

  • Critical life-saving capital. A construction firm was still waiting for delayed federal funds when a loan from The Enterprise Center was the difference between complete lay-offs and closing doors or putting over a dozen of its employees back to work.
  • Pivoting to survive through new skills, like the retail outlet that went from minimal digital presence to sophisticated e-commerce featuring their own advertising videos.
  • Creating new business opportunities even during a pandemic. Over 30 diverse cleaning businesses have become certified in COVID-19 sanitization through our new Cleaning Consortium.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, The Enterprise Center has:

Boost Black and Brown Business

In late November, Alignable found that 54% of minority businesses expected to earn less revenue than they need to survive into 2021. Before it’s too late, we ask that you join our campaign to invest in sustaining Black and brown businesses. Your support will be invaluable in the coming year.
