The Construction Center at The Enterprise Center supports minority and women-owned firms in the construction, professional services, construction management, and janitorial trades. Recognizing the importance of being involved in the conversations, The Construction Center was formed in April 2016 to provide minority firms with greater access to public and private sector projects within The City of Philadelphia. The Construction Center encourages partnerships between M/W/DBE firms.

The Construction Center hosts monthly events. Programming consists of procurement opportunities (non-union & union), industry best practices and education, access to capital, and networking. Past presenters have included PGW, the City of Philadelphia, Wells Fargo, PA Turnpike, INTECH, Rebuild Philadelphia, and local universities and developers. Past events have included workshops on estimating, responding to RFPs, and workers’ compensation.

The Food Consortium builds contract procurement opportunities for small food businesses and connects them to regional institutional anchors and stakeholders such as Bon Appetit, Sodexo, Drexel University, Jefferson University, Reading Terminal Market, Cherry Street Pier, and many more. The Food Consortium also assists food businesses with access to capital and has connected clients to over $145,000 in capital through The Enterprise Center Capital Corporation.
