Retail Resource Network
The Dr. Walter P. Lomax, Jr. Retail Resource Network (RRN) at TEC seeks to accelerate the creation of new retail businesses in Philadelphia, while developing the long-term growth and sustainability of existing enterprises. The RRN assists emerging and mature retail businesses by providing technical support, capitalaccess, marketing, merchandising, and other expertise.

The RRN works to create new jobs in Philadelphia via emerging retailers and to maintain jobs by reducing the failure rate of mature retail establishments. The RRN continues to explore fresh ideas in developing and marketing a series of workshops, with topics ranging from security to alternative energy and from accounting to hospitality. The RRN collaborates with other local business entities including Drexel University’s Design School (joint Window Makeover Program has already changed the façade of neighborhood businesses), The Book & The Cook, VIP/LawWorks, Deloitte, Philadelphia Urban Food & Fitness Alliance, The Merchants Fund, Community Design Collaborative, and The Food Trust.
The RRN supports the development of strong retail businesses through a unique combination of knowledge sharing, network connections, and programmatic offerings.
